CCBlocks
Sustainable Coconut Bricks

Turning coconut waste into affordable, eco-friendly building materials.

Born from a family coconut farm in Adonara, Indonesia, CCBlocks transforms discarded coconut byproducts into durable, eco-friendly bricks. We support local communities, reduce agricultural waste, and build a sustainable future for rural areas.

Our Farmers

Rooted in Adonara. Growing with the community.

Mr. Fransiskus Kopong Boli and Mrs. Maria Benga Pati have tended a 4,000-square-meter coconut grove in Mangaaleng Village for generations. For them, the coconut is the tree of life, and the project connects coconut waste with practical building materials.

We work directly with families like theirs, ensuring the project honors traditional farming practices while creating new economic opportunities in rural Indonesia.

Why CCBlocks Exists

Addressing environmental, housing, and community challenges.

CCBlocks was created to address interconnected environmental, housing, and community challenges through sustainable local materials.

62.5M tons

of coconut waste are produced annually worldwide.

Solution

CCBlocks can use this waste to make bricks.

Link to Citations

~8%

of global CO2 emissions are linked to the cement industry.

Solution

By reusing coconuts and local binders without firing, we can reduce these emissions greatly.

Link to Citations

2.8 billion

people in Southeast Asia lack access to affordable housing.

Solution

CCBlocks is working on using our proprietary bricks to address this problem.

Limited local economic opportunities

across many Southeast Asian communities.

Solution

We are dedicated to working on socioeconomic as well as humanitarian efforts.

These global environmental, housing, and economic challenges present an opportunity for CCBlocks to develop sustainable coconut-based building materials that support waste reduction, lower environmental impact, affordable housing innovation, and community-focused economic development.

Our Vision

Turning local waste into something valuable for the community.

Beyond creating products, we aim to support communities, build partnerships that respect local culture and the environment, and contribute to a more sustainable future for the places where coconuts have always been the tree of life, guided by sustainability at our core.

01

Waste to Value

Transform discarded coconut byproducts into affordable, locally produced building materials.

02

Community Engagement

Build partnerships with local farmers and communities that respect traditional practices, honor local culture, and create long-term benefits for both people and the environment.

03

Circular Economy

Create regenerative systems where coconut resources are continuously reused for production and local economic opportunity instead of disposal.

04

Engineered Quality

Develop durable, high-performance materials focused on reliability, consistency, and real-world construction needs.

Product

Built from waste. Designed for communities.

Our brick prototypes are currently undergoing testing for durability, water resistance, thermal performance, and structural strength.

Compressive Strength

Prototype strength is being reviewed through informal observation and formal testing in progress.

  • Prototype tested under informal vehicle load using a Honda SUV.
  • Most samples remained physically intact after impact as an observational result.
  • SNI 15-2094-2000 compressive strength testing is in progress.

Water Resistant

Early immersion testing shows water absorption within the referenced standard threshold.

  • 775 g to 885 g after 24h immersion.
  • +14.19% mass increase.
  • Standard reference is under 20% based on SNI 15-2094-2000.
  • Result: PASS.

Thermal Insulation

Thermal performance is not tested yet and remains under evaluation against common materials.

  • Not tested yet.
  • Under evaluation versus clay bricks and concrete blocks.
  • Heat insulation result is to be determined.
Impact Dashboard

Tracking our progress, transparently.

We publish our impact metrics as the project scales. Figures are updated as data becomes available from field operations and partner communities.
